We made it back to the apartment last night around 6:30 pm. Nolan
had a tough day, but adjusted pretty well. We miss having the nurses
around. He slept fine last night, but our sleep wasn't quite so restful
without the fully staffed nursery at our disposal. Today went
pretty quickly; lots of feeding, changing and napping. I got out
to the grocery store to buy some fruits and veggies, and to the park to
give Greta a much needed workout.
Here are some more photos from the hospital and soon after we got home.
I'll try to keep them coming on a one to two day delay as I get
time. The first set of photos were light on Susan coverage at her
request. I've tried to improve the balance this time.
Here is mom and babe at our window facing south-east toward the
lake. We actually had a little bit of lake view, and lots of nice
sunlight.
Another shot in our room
Here is Nolan's feeding log. This is what happens when nerds
procreate
Before we left, Susan's OB, Dr. Gupta, stopped on to say hello.
She didn't deliver Nolan; her partner on call, Dr. Levitt did.
But she was happy to see a healthy mom and baby.
Here we are with one of the many helpful nurses from the post partum
ward
Here is the happy family heading home from the hospital
And here is Greta meeting her new little brother. They are
getting on famously
We didn't have to induce. Things got going on their own last night.
Nolan Edward Adams was born at 9:12 am CST on January 18, 2004.
He weighed eight pounds, four ounces. He, and Susan are my heros.
